The Saloon Stock Cars are back in town on Saturday evening at the Racewall. Also in action are the ORCi Stock Rods, Prostocks and Prostock Basics.

Saloon Stock Cars
The Saloons will make their only appearance between their European & National Championships at King’s Lynn and Mildenhall. The Scots were out of luck in the main race at King’s Lynn, but many spectators attending the event may remember it for Barry Russell’s dramatic acrobatics over the catch fence and into the crowd – thankfully nobody was injured. Russell bounced back to win Sunday afternoon’s final and will be wanting to carry that form onto the Racewall on Saturday evening. 661 Graeme Shevill will be wanting to get back to winning ways having struggled since an engine blowup last month, whilst 5 Tam Rutherford Jnr, 38 Barry Glen and 670 Ross Watters have all been in form of late. 55 Alisdair Smith had a better outing last time out and will be looking to build on that, as will 301 Raymond Dick who had a promising debut in his new BMW shelled car. Booking list available via www.saloonstockcars.com

Stock Rods
The Stock Rods will race for the first time since their European Championship last weekend. The eventual winner of the title was 41 Stuart McKinnon, and it is likely that we will see the red and yellow chequers on top of the 41 car for the first time. 83 Michael Bethune was plagued by engine problems in the main race and will be hoping that they will be cured for this week, whilst 62 Liam McGill was involved in a shunt with Scottish Champion James Gray that forced him out of the race. 317 David Kempton missed the weekend having had a large amount of damage from the previous meeting, 612 Leon Stewart hopes to be out and will also be looking for a bit more luck having had a torrid 2019 season so far. 447 Jonathan Howe and 854 Chris Chance are set to travel from the North of England base. Prostocks
The Prostocks will make their first Racewall appearance since mid-May. Last time out in a rather destructive meeting, 170 Ian Christie, 605 Craig Murray and 760 John Mason took the victories, and Mason took the lead in the track championship, although he is just 2 points ahead of nearest rival 1 Paul Barron. 39 Robert & 330 Alexander Hamilton will be looking to cure mechanical issues that have plagued them for the past few weeks. Drivers are encouraged to book in as soon as possible via their home promotions.

Prostock Basics
The introductory class will make its first appearance of the month. Last time out, the wins were shared between 320 Dean Whiteley and 761 Jake Mason – although with new grades now in effect this meeting will see these two, along with 251 David Sher and 764 Callum Rennie – start much further back in the grid. Also on the move back in the grid will be 420 David van Dieken and 834 Declan Lindsell – who have made blue for the first time in their careers. 5 James Slater will make his first appearance.
