Stadium Location & Travel
The Racewall’s postcode is KY4 9QQ.
By Road: Cowdenbeath lies just off the A92 between Dunfermline and Kirkcaldy. The A92 links Dunfermline and Dundee and ajoins the M90 at the Dunfermline end. The M90 links Edinburgh and Perth via the Forth Road Bridge (A90). On entering Cowdenbeath carry-on down Bridge Street to the round-about and take the second exit to the High Street. About 100m up the High Street, before the steel Railway Bridge overhead, there is a left-hand turn that is sign-posted 'Central Park'. Follow this road under the railway arch and you have arrived!
Parking is limited in the free public car park directly in front of the stadium, but there are two other free public car parks if you follow the one-way road round to the right and up to Stenhouse Street - you can't miss them! On street parking is also available, but be careful to adhere to parking restrictions and please do not block the access of our neighbours.
Public Transport to/from Cowdenbeath
Rail: Cowdenbeath train station is a stop on the Fife Circle line that is serviced by Scotrail. The station is a hop-skip-and-a-jump from the stadium. Timetables and connections can be found here.
Bus: Cowdenbeath bus stations are serviced by Stagecoach. Timetables and connections can be found here. The X54 is an express service that links Edinburgh, Dunfermline, Cowdenbeath, Glenrothes and Dundee.
Park and Ride: Combine your private car and bus travel! Making use of the local park and ride facility makes sense when the journey time between it and Cowdenbeath is only 10 mins. . The no. 19/19A Stagecoach bus passes through Cowdenbeath frequently (every 10-30 mins depending on time of day). The timetable can be found here. Alternatively, park and ride facilities are available at a number of train stations on the Fife Circle line including Dunfermline Queen Margaret.
There are a range of local accommodation options to suit all budgets. You can use the Welcome to Fife website to search for options. Dunfermline, Kirkcaldy and Glenrothes are all just 10 minutes drive from the stadium and as well as a range of local hotels and B&B options there are also a number of nationwide chain hotels in the local vicinity including Premier Inn, Travelodge, Holiday Inn Express and JD Weatherspoons. Please note that hotels in Edinburgh and South Fife tend to book up early and charge higher rates during the Edinburgh Festivals (approx. 4-28 August), and during this time you may wish to consider more local options or towns to the North of Cowdenbeath.
The Racewall has two covered grandstands providing seating for more than 1600 spectators. A disabled spectator viewing area is located in the East (New) Grandstand. There is no additional charge for these grandstands. There is open terracing around the rest of the raceway providing a mix of concrete standing and grassed areas. Spectators are welcome to bring their own chairs for use around the terracing.
There are catering outlets located around the stadium serving hot and cold drinks and fast-food style items. Spectators are welcome to brig their own food and drinks into the stadium but are not permitted to bring into the stadium any glass containers.
Your safety is important to us. Please follow the direction of our dedicated security personnel at all times. There is no smoking (including the use of e-cigarettes) in both of our Grandstands. You must also remain seated when racing is in progress – there is no standing at the front of the grandstand area. Around the terracing you must stay behind the blue perimeter barrier at all times.
