Season 2017 - Thank You

30th October 2017

The curtain has now come down on Season 2017 at the Racewall and we would like to offer our thanks to all those who have helped it to be such a great year at the Home of Scottish Stock Car Racing.

Our first thanks are to the hundreds of drivers across each of our formulas. Whether you are a lower grader or Champion, you all play an really important part in our sport and we appreciate all your hard efforts and expenditure on hitting the tracks and entertaining us. The efforts of your race teams including mechanics, families and friends is also appreciated. We hope you have all enjoyed your years racing, and hope to see you back on track in 2018 – so don’t rest for too long – there are cars to be repaired/rebuilt or new cars to be purchased and constructed. We will let everyone know of the various formula drivers meetings as soon as these are fixed and remind you that 2018 licence application forms are available on our website.

To the vociferous and passionate stock car supporters, we thank you for your custom throughout the year. You are a key part of what makes the Racewall unique in UK Stock Car racing. You are the first to let us know where we can do better (and we do welcome constructive criticism and your feedback), and recognise that there are many entertainment options for you to enjoy on a Saturday night, but we aim to continue to improve and serve up the best Stock Car racing you can see, whether it is a domestic meeting or a major championship event. Our fixtures are being finalised at the moment and will be released when we can but we think we have lots that you will look forward to coming along and watching in 2018.

Our thanks also to our various race and championship sponsors as well as those who entrust us to hold Memorial events on their behalf.

A final thanks to the hard work of the GMP Scotland team. Both the on-track team and those behind the scenes put in many thousands of hours of hard work, all for the love of the sport. The team have one of the most punishing schedules in UK Stock Car circles with weekly events, and we set ourselves high standards that for the most part we manage to achieve. Our thanks to everyone who has played their part.

We will be back in 2018 bigger, better and stronger as we enter our 38th season of promoting and our 30th anniversary at our second home, the Racewall. See you all trackside very soon.
