James Gray, affectionately known as Jamesy, was born in 1981.  His racing endeavours take place at Racewall, where he competes in ORCi Stock Rods.

Despite starting his racing career relatively later in life at the age of 28, Gray has achieved notable success on the track. His impressive list of achievements includes being crowned Scottish Champion, securing the title of Track Champion twice, as well as winning the Open Scottish Champion and Highland Champion titles multiple times.

Among his memorable moments, winning the Simon Laing Memorial in its inaugural year and clinching the Scottish Champion title stand out as highlights in Gray’s racing career. 

In terms of rivals, Gray maintains a sportsmanlike attitude, acknowledging the intense battles on the track without singling out any specific rival. However, his competitive spirit and determination have undoubtedly led to numerous thrilling encounters over the years.

Outside of racing, Gray humorously notes that he has now become a grandad, showcasing the diverse aspects of his life beyond the racetrack.
