Old Skool Superstox - 1976 Golden Anniversary

We are looking forward to welcoming the Old School Superstox teams on their first visit to the Racewall Cowdenbeath this coming Saturday. The formula evokes the iconic sights, sounds, smells and names that raced back in the 60s, 70s and 80’s including those that raced at Cowdenbeath until 1986. Legends from the 1960s onwards, when every car was individual, recognisable and everyone had their hero driver.

As many may be aware this meeting is being held 50 years to the day of the 1976 Superstox World Championship at Cowdenbeath which was won by our promotion founder Gordon McDougall – the first Scotsman to do so Gordon has been invited to attend the evening and it will be apt to see the 41 replica car present which was last here 10 years ago when we marked 40 years of that event. There is also added poignancy that the replica car of 81 Bill Pullar will also be here following the sad news of Bills passing a couple of weeks ago.
