News And Updates
29th March 2021
A provisional set of fixtures has been published for 2021. Due to the ongoing Coronavirus restrictions it may be necessary to alter these plans in due course and drivers and spectators are advised to keep checking our website and social medial channels for the latest information.
At present, this is how we understand the lifting of restrictions may impact:
- From 26 April: All of mainland Scotland is due to enter Tier 3 regulations and travel between areas will be permitted. As such we anticipate being able to permit behind closed doors practice sessions to resume. Stadia for events will remain closed and therefore race meetings with spectator attendance will not be possible at this time. Details of the practice events booking and attendance procedures will be published in due course
- From 17th May: Small indoor and outdoor events are scheduled to be permitted with limited capacities. It is unclear whether this will allow race events to restart with spectators - events in May will therefore be dependant on events guidance clarification that will be published in due course.
- Early June: The Scottish Government anticipate areas of Scotland moving to level 1 which permits live events in stadia with capacity restrictions. Should this change in levels occur we would anticipate meeting with spectators with social distancing controls and capacity limits in place.
- Late June: The Scottish Government anticipate areas of Scotland moving to level 0 which permits live events in stadia with increased capacity restrictions and social distancing controls in place.
