Season 2020 Update

20th August 2020

We have received lots of questions about when racing might resume at the Racewall.

At this time, the Scottish Government are proposing that sports stadiums will be able to open from the 14th September with limited capacities, enhanced safety measures and social distancing in place.

Should this indeed be the case, we are provisionally working to a reopening fixture on the 19th September. However this is very much subject to the Scottish Government confirming the progression to that stage in their routemap on the 10th September and upon advice from a variety of bodies in relation to maximum capacities and whether the reopening makes economic sense under those restrictions.

We are in the process of re-drafting a fixture list through to the end of the season which will require ratification with the various governing bodies. We will of course keep race teams and fans updated as more firm information becomes available. In the meantime the third of our practice sessions take place this Saturday afternoon with all Racewall formulas welcome to participate - pre-booking required - all the details here.

We can all do our part to help us return to racing by following the government's guidance on social distancing and appropriate hygiene controls. That way we will all be back soon to the Home of Scottish Stock Car Racing - the Racewall.
