Getting to the Racewall – Parking & Public Transport
Whether you’re driving or arriving by public transport, here’s everything you need to know to plan your visit.
Car Parking
As a town centre venue, we have several free parking options nearby. Please park legally and considerately, respecting local residents and businesses.
Free Public Car Parks:
- Chapel Street – Extra event parking available for big race weekends located on the Ash Pitch.
- Entry: via Broad Street (one-way system)
- Exit: via Rowan Terrace
- Stenhouse Street – Follow the one-way road round to the right from the stadium front car park; two more free car parks are located here.
- Limited free parking is also available directly in front of the stadium.
Street Parking:
Available around the town—please check restrictions before leaving your car.
Important:
DO NOT park on verges or block driveways — the authorities may ticket or remove vehicles. From 1st September, Fife (along with other councils) will implement a new law prohibiting parking on pavements, with a £100 fine for offenders.
Disabled Parking
A limited number of disabled parking bays are available directly outside the stadium in the public car park. These are first come, first served, so please arrive early if you require one.
Public Transport
By Train:
- The nearest station is Cowdenbeath, just a short walk (approx. 10 minutes) from the stadium.
- Regular services run from Edinburgh, Dunfermline, and surrounding areas. Check timetables at ScotRail.
By Bus:
- Several local and regional bus routes stop within walking distance of the Racewall.
- For route and timetable info, visit Stagecoach.
Plan Ahead
Parking spaces closest to the stadium fill quickly on major event days, so we recommend arriving early. If you’re travelling by train or bus, please check last return service times to avoid missing your ride home.

Fireworks & Pyrotechnics
Across the weekend, enjoy fireworks and pyrotechnic displays after select races.
Stadium Information
Our stadium offers excellent viewing all around, with plenty of covered areas thanks to our large grandstands. There’s also a dedicated disabled viewing area, along with licensed bars, food outlets, and other facilities to keep you comfortable all weekend.
You’re welcome to bring your own food and drinks – but please note:
- No glass bottles
- No alcohol may be brought into the venue
The FREE grandstand will be open as usual, on a first come, first served basis.
Portable chairs are welcome for use in standing areas.
Dogs
Dogs are welcome in the stadium if they are well-behaved and kept on a lead at all times. Please be aware this is a busy and noisy environment.
Bars & Catering Outlets
The new Chequered Flag Bar, located next to our hospitality suite, will be open all weekend. Catering vans will serve breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, and will operate as normal throughout each meeting. Indiviual VIP hospitality tickets are avaliable to add on to your general admission when booked online.
